❤ DEAR TRESSBUZZ ❤
THIS WEEK'S BURNING QUESTION

Dear Tressbuzz,  I don't use heat at all.  My sister says you have to use heat to do a proper length check.  Is that right?   -Kaylie

Dear Kaylie,  Nope.  Heat is totally unnecessary for a length check.  All a proper length check requires is that the hair is stretched to its maximum length then measured.  Measurements should be taken for the front, sides and back.  You can stick to your no heat lifestyle and still achieve a totally viable length check.  Here are some good methods:

1.  Stretch a section of hair along a wooden ruler until it is taut and has reached max length.  Take note of the length for each quadrant of the head.  This is especially good if you have shorter hair and cannot measure against a bra strap or shirt.

2.  Measure dripping wet hair post-shower against a ruler or body part or take a reverse photo of the back into a mirror.  Note if hair is ear-length, neck-length, shoulder-length, etc.

3.  Long-haired chica's, pull a section of hair taut against an old, ratty t-shirt that you are wearing.  Make a mark on the shirt  at hair's length.  This is especially effective for getting a visual of actual progress over a period of time.

For the back of the head, if you are not able to make a video or photo of your progress, have a friend or family member hold the section taut for you and take note of measurements.  For other great hair care tips check out STYLE | TECH.

LOREAL VOLUMINOUS WATERPROOF MASCARA - CARBON BLACK
If you're looking for a mascara that actually does what it says it will do look no further.  This mascara imparts full, hyper-black, long lashes that stay that way all day.  Waterproof is great for those summer pool parties and teary weddings.
